Work on something
worth teaching
We build courses that help people actually understand marketplace advertising — not surface-level overviews, but practical skills instructors would use themselves. If that sounds like work you'd find meaningful, we'd like to talk.
What we're
looking for right now
These aren't entry-level filler roles. Each position is tied to a real gap in how we build and deliver courses. Every hire here directly affects what learners experience.
A small team doing focused work
We're not a large company with a sprawling HR policy. Most of our team came from working in marketplace advertising directly — sellers, media buyers, analytics people — who got tired of courses that didn't reflect how things actually work.
The team is distributed across time zones, but sessions run live and collaboration is real. You'd be working with people who care about getting the material right.
"I joined because the course structure here is built around real advertising logic, not generic frameworks."
"Teaching marketplace ads here is different. Students come with real questions, not just 'what is PPC?' conversations."
Work from anywhere. We've had team members in 12 countries without any issues around coordination or time zones.
Core overlap hours exist for live sessions, but outside that you manage your own time.
Full access to all thelocalstory programs — useful if you want to understand what you're building or teaching.
You'll interact directly with the people making product decisions. No layers of management between idea and execution.
Session quality data, learner progress metrics, and direct feedback are visible to everyone on the team.
Standard PTO policy that doesn't require you to justify time away. We don't track vacation days obsessively.
Don't see a fit but think you'd contribute?
